These Smokin’ woods are excellent for enhancing the flavour of your BBQ food.

Apple Wood Chips

Apple smokin’ wood chips are crafted using waste wood punning harvested from orchards. Apple wood imparts a mild, sweet fruity smoke flavour to the foods you are cooking on your BBQ Grill. Apple wood complement game, fish, and beef but are perfect for pork and poultry.

Beech Wood Chips

The Beech Smokin’ wood chips are crafted using pruning’s from managed woodlands.  Beechwood is a mild hardwood which will impart a delicate, slightly nutty, smoky flavour. Beechwood compliments poultry, pork and fish. Just imagine beech smoked salmon, beechwood pork sausages and beech smoked bacon!

Oak Whiskey Barrel Wood

The oak whiskey barrel smokin’ wood chips are made from used oak barrels from the Rioja region of Spain. They are infused with Whiskey and give your BBQ and food a  strong smoky flavour with a touch of whiskey aroma. These complement foods such as bold red meats, game, meaty fish and hearty vegetables such as aubergine.

Citrus Wood

The citrus chips made from our citrus logs give your BBQ or Smokin’ food a sweet, distinct fruity smoke flavour. These complement food such as fish, light game, turkey, chicken and veggies. At The Green Olive Firewood Company, we recommended soaking our wood chips in water for around 30 minutes. Then add the soaked chips to a smoking box or directly into the charcoal in the BBQ or Smoker. This way the smoke will infuse with the food and enhance its flavouring.

Olive Wood

Our wood chips made from our olive logs give your BBQ or Smokin’ food a slightly sweet, smoky fruity flavour. These complement food such as fish, ham, pork, turkey, chicken and veggies.

Oak Brandy Wood

These oak wood chips are made from used oak barrels from the Rioja region of Spain. They are infused with Brandy and give your BBQ or Smokin’ food strong smoky flavours with a touch of brandy aroma. These complement foods such as bold red meats, game, meaty fish and hearty vegetables such as aubergine.
